The elements of design, a love of nature, and the ability to re-imagine the familiar are the threads that combine to make Stewart Allen a truly unique and talented interior designer.
Interest in interior design began early, when at the age of nine, Stewart's family moved into a Southern California ranch home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright Jr. Extensive travels and a degree Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University culminated in the launching of Stewart Edward Allen Design in 2007.
The creative process for Stewart works in many ways. Leading clients through the design process by listening and inspiring are his base elements for a successful project. Of utmost importance to him is remembering that rooms are for people. Living comfortably while being moved by the beauty of exceptional design are essential features for Stewart. Translating a client's needs, dreams and personalities into rich, beautiful interiors is always the goal.
Approaching each project, be it a single room or an entire home, as an opportunity to elevate the ordinary and introduce the unexpected, Stewart leads his clients on a journey of discovery. His ability to design original furniture, introduce elements of nature in unexpected ways or seamlessly integrate a client's own prized possessions into elegant, livable rooms is the hallmark of Stewart Edward Allen Design.
Retaining a sense of humor and continuously being delighted by his sources of inspiration allows Stewart to remain excited about design and become energized by each new client's vision.
